Connie Britton to Return For AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN?

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Connie Britton discussed the possibility of an appearance on this season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN.

"I've actually been talking to them this season, because they're down in New Orleans and I'm in Nashville," Britton told the magazine. "I said, 'Okay, let's see if we can try to figure this out.'"

Britton played the role of 'Vivien Harmon' in the first season of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story but hasn't appeared on the show since. The portrayal earned her an Emmy nomination in 2011.

The actress is currently starring as 'Rayna Jaymes' on ABC's country music drama NASHVILLE, for which she has received both an Emmy and a Golden Globe nomination. She is also filming for the movie This Is Where I Leave You.

Britton's other TV credits include Friday Night Lights, 24, Lost at Home, The West Wing, The Fighting Fitzgeralds, The Fugitive and Spin City.

The 13-part miniseries AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN, which tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America, airs Wednesdays at 10:00 PM ET/PT though January 2014 on FX. This season of the show, titled "Coven" features an all-star cast including Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Denis O'Hare, Patti LuPone, Evans Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe and Emma Roberts.
