After the successful Tony Awards Broadcast Party last year at the Hippodrome Theatre, Ben Ryland (theatre reviewer for "Baltimore Outloud Newspaper") is once again organizing a "Tony Awards Broadcast Party" on Sunday evening, June 7, to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Due to the unavailability of the Hippodrome Theatre (hopefully the 2010 party will return to that venue), what better place to have the event than the Club Hippo located at 1 W. Eager Street at the corner of Charles in historic Mt. Vernon.

Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be a fun dinner, a Broadway silent auction and raffle, and plenty of show tune videos on big production screens prior to the 8 - 11 p.m. Tony Awards telecast.

Admission is an $18 donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (cash or check). There will be table and bar seating with a cash bar throughout the evening.

Sponsors include the Club Hippo, the Hippodrome Theatre (remember the Tony-winning musical Spring Awakening opens June 9), BC/EFA, Baltimore Outloud Newspaper and the Freedom Insurance Group.

For information, call 410-400-1886 or you can reservations at stagesbalti@aol.com.

Act quickly. This will be sold out.
