Isaac Robert Hurwitz and Métropole Ink, in association with Jossip.com, will present Marissa Kamin's The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero, directed by Ben Rimalower, Off-Broadway at the DR2 Theatre (103 East 15th street at Union Square) June 14-July 1.  The official opening night for is set for June 17 at 7pm.

Ben Rimalower (Joy, Leslie Kritzer is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches) directs a young ensemble cast that includes Anna Chlumsky (My Girl 1 and 2, "30 Rock"), Gillian Jacobs (Cagelove, upcoming Blackbird film), Kate Reinders (Wicked, Gypsy, Into the Woods), Christopher Sloan (Joy) and Brian J. Smith.  Featured live on stage will be HX's 2005 & 2006 DJ of the Year, DJ Brenda Black spinning the soundtrack nightly.

As described in press materials, "The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero follows a girl in her senior year of high school as she attempts to achieve the ultimate: effortless perfection.  Feeling the pressure of the forces around her, she shrinks to a size zero and descends into a filthy/gorgeous world of booze, beauty and boyfriends all while attempting to get into the Ivy League school of her choice.  The tabloids, headlines and blogs of today explode onstage with humor, wit and brutal honesty as Size Zero proposes, 'How can a girl find herself if she is lost being someone else?'"

"We now live in a society that is dominated at a fever pace by the media and bloggers. This is why The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero has partnered with Jossip.com to provide up-to-the-minute daily blogs featured in the show. Founded by David Hauslaib, Jossip has become a must-read industry bible for hoards of editors, publicists, journalists, talent reps, nightlife impresarios, reigning MySpace royalty, students, and an unhealthy share of office temps. Jossip covers the intersecting bubbles that matter – celebrity, media, and Manhattan – and is, by all accounts, the gossip's gossip sheet."

Kamin, the show's playwright and producer, wrote and produced the Los Angeles hit Red Wagon Poesy at the Hudson Theatre (LA Weekly "Pick of the Week").  She worked as the Director of Creative Development for Q Media Partners, a San Francisco based production company with first look deals at HBO and Touchstone.  She also worked in development for Sony Pictures and Dreamworks. Credits include: Mr. Deeds, The Master of Disguise and "Spin City."  Kamin produced the sold-out Joe's Pub debut of Natalie Joy Johnson with Our Lady J and the Pink Champagne Orchestra and Scott Nevins' Celebutant.  She is a contributing writer to several online magazines.

The design team includes Wilson Chin (Set Design), David Kaley (Costume Design) Ben Stanton (Lighting Design) Zach Williamson (Sound Design) Ruth Lacera (Projection Design) and Choreography by Josh Walden.  Christie Evangelisto serves as Dramaturg.
