A private industry reading of the new Broadway-bound play SOMEONE ELSE by Charlotte Cohn and Jason Odell Williams will be presented in Manhattan tomorrow, Thursday, October 8th.

SOMEONE ELSE is an award-winning comedy about marriage, responsibility, and Ukrainian escorts. The new play will be directed by Markus Potter (Stalking The Bogeyman). Rashad V. Chambers produces.

The reading will star Joel de la Fuente (The Man in the High Castle, Hemlock Grove) and Charlotte Cohn (Handle With Care, Baz Luhrmann's La Boheme).

SOMEONE ELSE will have its world premiere at the North Carolina Stage Company in Ashville, NC in November and will open in New York in 2016. The NC run is scheduled for November 4-29. For additional information, go to ncstage.org.

Per press notes, SOMEONE ELSE is described: "As his wife of 10 years ratchets up the pressure to have a baby, Dave feels the spark being sucked out of their sex life, so he begins to fantasize about a rendezvous with a beautiful and droll Ukrainian prostitute who offers Dave surprisingly sage advice about his marriage. Meanwhile, Dave's sexy co-worker has escalated their usual playful banter into a full-on flirtation while stressing that kids and career don't mix. Is he misreading her signals, or is it a ploy to steal a promotion? While Dave navigates the complex waters of family, career and fidelity, he finds himself in a motel room with a curt New York escort who may or may not be the answer to his problems. And to make matters worse, all of these women bare a striking resemblance to Dave's wife. Is it real, or is his mind trying to tell him something?"
