CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted year-to-year gains in adults 25-54 and viewers, and was the #1 Sunday morning news program in those categories, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for March 16.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 5.69m viewers and a 1.4/07 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same week a year ago, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in adults 25-54 (from 1.3/07) and up +11% in viewers (from 5.12 m).

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +5% in viewers (5.97m from 5.67m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.5/07) compared to last year.

Sunday's broadcast featured Martha Teichner's report on how millions of children who have parents in the military experience emotional problems after their loved ones return from war; Rita Braver's profile of singer Enrique Iglesias; Tracy Smith's interview with former Iran prison captives Joshua Fattal, Shane Bauer and Sarah Shourd; Mo Rocca's story on the 175th anniversary of the word "O.K."; Margaret Brennan's look inside the world of Irish step dancing; and Bob Simon's profile of actress Catherine Deneuve.
