CBS Picks Up Stalker Drama from THE FOLLOWING's Kevin Williamson

Kevin Williamson is lining up his third small screen project.

According to The Hollwood Reporter, Williamson, creator of Fox's hit drama THE FOLLOWING, has set up a new drama pilot at CBS "set in the world of stalkers."

Williamson will executive produce and write the script for the untitled project, described as a "psychological thriller" which "centers on a pair of detectives who handle stalking incidents for the Threat Management Unit of the LAPD."

THE FOLLOWING stars Golden Globe winner and Emmy Award nominee Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy, The Following out-rated all freshman series, finished the 2012-13 season as the No. 1 drama on broadcast television among Adults 18-49, Men 18-49 and Men 18-34 and drew an average audience of 16.3 million viewers across key live and time-shifted platforms.

Williamson also executive produces The CW's THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.
