BroadwayWorld is excited to announce the launch of an exclusive, new webseries- SCHOOL'D. Set to launch this May, the series focuses on helping students who are applying to college musical theater programs. Tune in next month to watch episodes featuring University of Michigan alumna Maddy Trumble (Newsies, Mary Poppins, Wicked), Cincinnati Conservatory of Music alumna, Noah Ricketts (Beautiful), and more!

SCHOOL'D is hosted and created by Matthew Rodin, a 2014 graduate of The Boston Conservatory who currently hosts a bi-weekly web series called the "Broadway News Bulletin" on YouTube.

SCHOOL'D was created with the intention of providing first hand accounts of students who have attended college for theatre, graduated, and have been successful in forming a career. The first four episodes feature interviews with graduates of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, University of Michigan, PACE, and The Boston Conservatory. Future episodes promise to feature more college theatre programs as well as other unique ways that actors "got their start."

"What's missing from the college application process (for theatre specifically) and the onslaught of easily accessible information about each school, is the ability to have a conversation with someone who's been there, done that, and frankly, 'booked it.' With the growing popularity of social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat (and the current hotshot Meerkat,) high school age students are less interested in the numbers and statistics of each school and more interested in engaging with working actors who have been in their shoes. The SCHOOL'D web series is an exciting new resource for students applying to theatre programs but SCHOOL'D will also spark conversations across social media. With the help of a hashtag (#getmeSCHOOLD) - students can ask questions and then be able to connect with an alumna who can provide answers. I'm extremely excited about the future of SCHOOL'D and I'm looking forward to watching the catalogue of colleges grow," said creator Rodin.
