Broadway Kids Care (BKC), the organization of theater kids for kids (and others), will host its 3rd annual Bake Sale. Kids from such Broadway shows as Mary Poppins, South Pacific, The Lion King, Billy Elliott and more, will sell baked goods, and for the first time will also sell pet treats and theatre memorabilia in Fireman's Park (48th Street between Broadway and 8th Ave.) on Wednesday, October 21st between their matinee and evening performances (4:00 - 7:00 p.m.). Proceeds from the Bake Sale will benefit UNICEF.

Broadway Kids Care was founded by Kelly Gonda in 2007 as a way to bring children together from current and past Broadway shows and offer them the opportunity to perform community service. Since its beginning, BKC has hosted Holiday Events and assembled packages for the children of Freedom House. Broadway Kids Care also entertains the residents of the Lillian Booth Actor's Home with a holiday concert and handmade gifts. In the past they have knit scarves, sent care packages to the Troops in Iraq, decorated hats and bandannas for children undergoing chemo at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, and raised money for the UNICEF/Pampers One Pack=One Vaccine program.

BKC's dream is to become a nationwide organization.
