Britain's Biggest Pantomine Ends Acclaimed Run at Birmingham Hippodrome

Britain's biggest pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Birmingham Hippodrome, will complete its six and a half week runthis Sunday (2 Feb) having entertained over 115,000 theatregoers. And that figure makes it the best-selling Panto at the city's leading venue for over a decade.

One of the most star-studded casts of recent years - John Partridge, Gok Wan, Stephanie Beacham, Gary Wilmot, Paul Zerdin, Matt Slack and Danielle Hope - will have played a phenomenal 77 performances attracting audiences from across the country. Rave reviews in the regional and national press have been backed up by hugely positive comments from the public on social media.

Michael Harrison, Managing Director of Qdos Entertainment's pantomime division, and Director of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, said: "Everybody loves performing in Birmingham and it's been another great pantomime run this year with record-breaking sales. Audiences have been terrific and the cast have felt very welcomed."

Just over one-third of this year's Panto ticket-holders were making their very first Hippodrome booking, but a huge number of families come every year as a seasonal tradition. Theatregoers travelled from as far afield as Hull, Plymouth, Swansea and Manchester boosting the local economy whilst enjoying the Christmas and New Year fun with friends and family.

I know that local businesses have benefitted from the uplift in attendance so it's satisfying to be able to share this success across the city."

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ends its run at Birmingham Hippodrome on Sunday 2 February. Tickets for the 2014/15 pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk are already on sale and full casting will be announced in the Spring.
