From the shocktorium to the jungle of terror and through the carnival of souls; join us for an in-depth, behind-the-scenes tour of Blood Manor as we explore the mechanics of designing fear.
For the first time ever, Blood Manor is opening their macabre doors post-run for a one-of-a-kind, Atlas Obscura exploration of the inner workings of a major haunted house attraction. Over the past decade, haunted house production has grown into a $300 million industry, becoming more technical, more stylized and more disturbing. With 5,000 square feet of themed rooms and a labyrinth of passageways all masterminded to induce terror and unease, Blood Manor is consistently ranked amongst the top haunted house productions in the world. From the conceptual design to the makeup and the costuming, we'll be touring each and every dark and twisted corridor as we are lead by Blood Manor's technical creators in our quest to learn the secrets behind every jump and scream.
