Playwright/Broadway vet Tom Alan Robbins (Is He Dead?/The Lion King/Once Upon a Mattress) will present his play, MYSTERY BOX, a comedy set in the unforgiving world of the New York art scene. The closed reading will be presented for industry/backers on June 19

The five-person play stars Theatre World Award Winner Wesley Taylor ("Smash,"/"It Could Be Worse"/The Addams Family/Rock of Ages), Tony Award Winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal/Side Show/Rocky Horror/Sunset Boulevard), Theo Stockman (American Psycho/"Inside Amy Shumer"/Hair/American Idiot), Chasten Harmon ("Model Woman"/Les Miserables/Hair), and Drama Desk Award Winner Dakin Matthews (Waitress/"Bridge of Spies"/The Audience/"Gilmore Girls.")

MORE ABOUT Mystery Box: "When a series of conceptual pieces from a raw young artist (Taylor) receives raves from the critics, he must struggle to navigate through a minefield of competing demands from his teacher (Matthews), his patron (Ripley), his fiancee (Harmon), and his best friend (Stockman) without losing his soul."
