In a dual effort to raise awareness for dog adoption and help more dogs find loving homes, ANNIE teamed up with PEDIGREE Brand for the "See the Show, Help a Dog" initiative. At the heart of the partnership is the PEDIGREE Brand belief that every dog deserves a loving home. It's a sentiment shared with ANNIE and Broadway - an organization that has cast shelter dogs in starring roles for decades.

That's why together, PEDIGREE and ANNIE worked to create awareness for the importance of dog adoption and their shared commitment to helping dogs with a $1,000,000 donation to PEDIGREE Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping dogs find loving homes. This month, we will celebrate our partnership and commitment to the cause with a check presentation to PEDIGREE Foundation after the matinee performance on November 20.

Since its 1977 debut, ANNIE has starred a real-life shelter dog as Annie's adopted and loyal companion, Sandy. Most recently animal trainer and Tony Award Winner Bill Berloni conducted a nationwide search for a real-life shelter dog to play the role of Sandy, and discovered Sunny, who was plucked from a Houston shelter to train for the big role.
