ACT is collaborating with Shiloh Community Development, Inc to celebrate Black History Month this February. One of the many events happening is a co-production of The Dream - an original play by ACT Outreach Coordinator Matt Fernandez.

The Dream explores the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It includes a variety of stories and characters - some familiar and some new.

The characters:

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Abraham Lincoln
Booker T. Washington
William Seward
Thomas Jefferson
Malcolm X Joseph A. McNiel (student and veteran who staged sit-ins)
Vivian Malone (first black student admitted to the University of Alabama)
John Wilkes Booth
President Lyndon B. Johnson
Marlon Brando
Charlton Heston
Alabama Governor George Wallace
Mississippi Mayor Johnny Dupree
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice
Claudette Colvin (teenage girl who refused to sit in the back of the bus)
And many more...

Rehearsals: Feb 15, 16, 17, 22, 23 & 24 from 6 - 8pm
Performance: Feb 27th at 7pm
