The iconic stars of the Radio City Spectacular - the one and only Rockettes - have been holding Spring auditions this month and the official Facebook page of the unforgettable New York landmarks themselves has been showing us the cutthroat process of selecting the headliners of the biggest show in the Big Apple, from 500 to 50 to a mere few.

A chorus of "I hope I get it!" ala A CHORUS LINE is all that is missing from these fascinating fast-motion captures of the intensive and quite incredible auditions held earlier this month for the corps of the Radio City Rockettes - with nearly 500 dancers total making up the collective chorus on Day 1.

Today, Day 2 of the behind the scenes look at auditions has been posted, featuring the 50 ladies to have been fortunate enough to make the cut to the next round of callbacks.

Day 3 is expected to be posted soon.

The theme of this year's Rockettes auditions coverage has been coined as "Jump The Line: Reach For Your Dreams" and has previously featured user-submitted auditions among other contests and features.

From the official site: "The Rockettes are the world's most famous precision dance company. Widely known as one of New York City's most illustrious and beloved icons, they are legendary for their precision dance and eye-high kicks. The Rockettes are the stars of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular - a show that is seen by more than 2 million people annually and has played in more than 60 cities across North America."

Stay tuned to see who makes it to the final leggy line-up later this month!
