The Prince Music Theater in Philadelphia has announced its 2006-2007 season, which will feature two classic musicals and a number of world premieres. Among the talents taking part in the shows will be Leslie Uggams and Paul Scott Goodman.
The season will kick off with the hip-hop musical From Tha Hip, created and choreographed by Clyde Evans. Running from September 19th through October 1st, it will feature music by Subliminal Orphans and will star Chosen Dance Company members.KT Sullivan and Mark Nadler will then present their revues Always: The Love Story of Irving Berlin and A Swell Party: RSVP Cole Porter; the former runs from October 17th through October 29th and the latter from November 1st through November 5th.Richard M. Parrison, Jr., who helped to make a recent hit of the theatre's Dreamgirls, will stage the Irving Berlin-Herbert Fields-Dorothy Fields classic Annie Get Your Gun, in which sharpshooter Annie Oakley gets her man to a score that includes "There's No Business Like Show Business," "They Say It's Wonderful" and "You Can't Get a Man with a Gun."
