Chopiniana – Anchorage Premiere
Inspired by the 1905 visit of Isadora Duncan to Russia, Ballet Choreographer Michel Fokine took the music of Frédéric Chopin and created Chopiniana. Celebrating the poetic qualities of Romantic Ballet to express the subliminal nature of dance, Chopiniana is a feast for both the eyes and ears. Anchorage Ballet brings this timeless classic to life featuring principle dancers Dale Jordan and Seth Belliston, soloists Tegan Grunditz and Molly Swanson, and live musical accompaniment by Juliana Osinchuk. A must see for all classical music and dance enthusiasts!

Merry and bright with shining black eyes, the Jellicle Cats are quiet enough in the afternoon, for they are reserving their terpsichorean powers to dance by the light of the Jellicle Moon. Gathering for their great annual dance in which all of the Cats celebrate, they dance in a display of caterwauling and kittenish energy. Staged by General McArthur Hambrick, you will purr with pleasure as you watch this fun and imaginative performance!
“Coffee Tonight”

This is the place where blue-collar workers, gangsters, playboys, and undercover spies all come for tango, "coffee", and elicit fun.
