Anchorage Community Theatre will finish its 2010-2011 season with the riotous 1982 musical comedy Pump Boys and Dinettes, written by John Foley, Mary Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel and Jim Wann. Directed by Wayne Mitchell, the show will closes May 22.

Right down the road on Highway 51 you'll find Jim and JM's gas station. Next door is Rhetta and Prudie Cupp's Double Cupp Diner. To look at it, you wouldn't know that this little stop is where all the action is. But trust us, once the boys get that guitar and bass fiddle revved up, you won't want to be anywhere else. Packed with hummable, hilarious songs like "Be Good or Be Gone," "Tips" and "The Night Dolly Parton Was Almost Mine," it's a foot-stomping good time that will make you want to order a big slice of cherry pie and a second cup of coffee, before you hit the road in search of life's simple pleasures.

Adult tickets are $15, Students, Seniors & Military tickets are $13 and Children under 12 tickets are $11. Order tickets by calling (907) 868-4913 or by visiting www.actalaska.org. Anchorage Community Theatre is located at 1133 E. 70th Ave., just off the Old Seward Highway. Visit www.actalaska.org to learn more about ACT, including the schedule for ACT's 2011-2012 season.
