Seward County Community College/Area Technical School Theatre Department has announced their production of Into the Woods, a Tony Award Winning Production with a score by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. Audiences of all ages are sure to enjoy this Tony-award-winning witty and irreverent reimagining of classic fairytales. An ambivalent Cinderella? A blood-thirsty Little Red Riding Hood? A Prince Charming with a roving eye? A Witch...who raps? They're all among the complex characters in this fractured fairy tale.

The Stephen Sondheim landmark stage musical "FOLLIES" premieres Friday evening April 18th and plays through May 4th at The Barn Players, 6219 Martway in Mission. The show has won eight Tony Awards and tells the story of a reunion of past performers from "Weismann's Follies", held in a crumbling Broadway theatre, about to be torn down, featuring the music that won our hearts between the World Wars. "FOLLIES" is directed by Eric Magnus with musical direction by Tim Braselton. The show is rated "PG".

Godspell,with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (of Wicked, Pippin and Children of Eden fame) and directed by Matthew S. Rumsey is well into it's four week run at the Crown Uptown Dinner Theatre. Godspell, written in 1971, is based on the gospel according to Saint Matthew. Though based on the parables of the Bible, the script by John-Michael Tebelak, is not preachy, but joyous, celebratory, exciting and sometimes sombre.

'Christmas in July', to be presented in Collegiate's Galichia Auditorium, will be an evening of holiday and musical theater favorites that will include selections from both his debut album and Christmas EP. Joining Ian in the celebration will be special guest Katie Wilcoxson, one of Orlando's top studio vocalists who has recorded with such companies as Disney, DreamWorks, SeaWorld and Macy's.
