La Lezione di Teatro / The Acting at Court Theatre Training Company

A 50-minute play, set partly in English and partly in Italian without subtitles, that ironically demolishes the notions of the difficulty of theatre language entertaining an audience that speaks English, Italian or both…or none!

The plot is a classical comedy of errors: an Italian actress receives a student for a private theatre lesson; she is thrilled at the idea of making him fall in love with Italian theatre and the lesson seems to be going well until we realize that there is a small language problem and the universal language of the masks of Commedia dell'Arte comes to the rescue!
