Its weird, sleeping on someone elses couch. Its even weirder when that couch is the couch of the girl youre having an affair with. And its much, much weirder when her boyfriend starts recommending art house films to you over dinner.Helen and Diana should probably have worked this out sooner but the fact is, when they discover their feelings for each other are a little more than platonic, its a bit late in the game. Theyve both graduated from university, theyve both landed busy successful jobs, theyve both got work-appropriate blouses, matching cutlery and nice wine glasses - and theres just the small problem of Diana living with her boyfriend of four years.It begins small,7 a.m. coffee dates, stealing kisses in the dark, inconspicuous hand-holding that their friends wont notice things soon escalate, and Helen and Diana start to figure themselves out between the margins of the lives theyve created for themselves. This is a new play about love, identity and trying to make enough room in your calendar to sleep with your best friend.
