I wasn't wondering whether you have a single for Saturday night :)

I just keep hearing that sales are pretty horrible for several tours at the moment and I wondered whether there was anything noticeable about the WWRY sales- it's not inconceivable that it would have sold out, so if it's less than about 80% I'd find that quite interesting.

Well its more than my job is worth to discuss sales lolol, i think you could probably get 1 ticket for sat in the tier

I think tours have been affected at that moment but Mary Poppins was pretty packed every night we had it for 3 months, hell even the dreadful and hardly publicized Singing In The Rain sold OK for a show that small lol

Most tours I have been to recently were all sold well, with the exception of Cabaret which had alot of empty seats when I went.

Blood Brothers and West Side were completely sold out at the Theatre Royal Newcastle, and Gethsemane was quite heavily sold too. For "All the fun of the fair" thats on in Sunderland in 2 weeks all that you can get now for opening night is the upper circle.

Witches of Eastwick is practically sold out except for the gallery in Sunderland which I think is down to really good marketing (and Marti Pellow). As far as I know WWRY is sold very well up here aswell, and as for the Mamma Mia International tour that is coming to Newcastle, I think it will be sold out within a couple of weeks. Booked my tickets this morning :).

Witches of Easwick was sold very well in the Edinburgh Playhouse, mostly of Marti fans who couldn't seem to grasp the No Photography/Recording rule, but a lot of people walked out becuase they thought it was distasteful haha. Or rubbish.
I think they thought they were going to a Marti Pellow concert..

There's pictures of the statue up in Manchester on Brian May's wesbsite.

I see the statue of Sir Freddie, we have the real thing in London, but because of age now, he only manages 6 performances a week, he doesn't do Monday evening and Wednesday matinee!

Yeah it will stay there, the giant board in the middle is always there so they wont move that, they should really have another Freddie on the other side too.

Its in a perfect place for the traffic though as the drives will see it heading straight up Oxford Rd

Maybe eventually, but it's playing the Bristol Hippodrome in the Autumn so I wouldn't have thought they'd double up in the South West. They're less than 40 miles apart.

It's interesting that WWRY is still going strong at the Dominion, despite many people on this very board claiming (last year) that "it will" close, and Legally Blonde "will" replace it (and other such bizarre 'insider' claims).

This from brianmay.com:

We will be auditioning in the Summer for the next cast change in the Dominion ... we will be rockin' on into the foreseeable future!! We aim to keep that Golden Statue of Freddie up there for at least another two hundred years!!!

We're very happy to be mounting a national tour of WWRY while still packing the theatre nightly in London. That's a rare thing. Usually shows go out on tour when they run out of steam in London. We are blessed! The London show seems to be stronger than ever!!

Cheers
Bri
