The Grand Canal Theatre, Dublin, Ireland.

In just one months time, Dublin will open the doors on its stunning new theatre that has been purposely built to give the city the top names in music and entertainment.
The theatre is situated in the heart of Dublin city and has a capacity of up to 2111.

The Grand Canal Theatre opens on 18th March with gala performances of 'Swan Lake'.
Major productions fill the schedule throughout 2010. Concerts by Ronan Keating, Rufus Wainwright, Michael Bolton will play along side the national tours of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' and 'Hairspray' Daren Brown is taking his latest production, 'Enigma' there and it wil be recoreded for future DVD release on these dates.

I am glad Jamie, you cannot wait, however the proof will be in the eating, we only know how successful this new venue will be, if more tours come over from Britain and play there. Early indications are good with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Hairspray plus one other big show to be confirmed.

I am very tempted to book up to see Hairspray in November.

I hope the eating is a la carte for you Irish fans.

I think I have a clue of the yet to be confirmed show. Phantom, you should go to Dublin I seen the theatere an it's in a great place

Nice, is that to be a theatre or more of an opera house?

reminds me alot of that Postdammerplatz in Berlin that was built for Glockner (hunchback)

Very lovely, but i do like a centre aisle. Those rows are very long.
