Tori Scott Announces UK Christmas Tour
Tori Scott returns to the UK this December following her smash-hit run at this summer's Edinburgh Festival. Produced by Robin Rayner Productions, Scott will bring her festive show Vodka is the Reason for the Season to Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff and The Marlborough in Brighton followed by Live at Zédel in London.
This vibrant show recounts her early childhood fascination with Dolly Parton in the movie The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and her time spent as a singing elf in an old peoples' home. Tori takes the audience on a festive autobiographical journey to celebrate what is truly special about this time of year. Both hysterical and heart-warming, Vodka is the Reason for the Season includes songs by Dolly Parton, Madonna, Michael Jackson, and more.
Named one of Time Out New York's Top 10 Cabaret Artists, Tori Scott has made a name for herself in the UK having performed her powerhouse shows for thousands of people from Edinburgh to Brighton over the past 18 months. Scott arrives in the UK following a series of sell-out shows at Joe's Pub at The Public in New York City this Autumn including Tori Scott is #Thirsty, Tori Scott: Shame Spirals and Tori Scott is a Sell-Out. Scott's Christmas Tour is sponsored by Tom of Finland Organic Vodka and her debut Christmas single "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is now available to download on iTunes.
Tori is referred to as a Garland for the Grindr era and has been hailed as "the Bette Midler of the New Millennium" by Provincetown Magazine and "the sound of someone who's not afraid to show you just how human she is, while her super-human pipes blow you away" by Broadway World.
