Photo Preview: New Cast Members in London 'Wicked'

On July 16th, the cast of London's Wicked will welcome Dianne Pilkington as Glinda, Oliver Tompsett (RoyAl Hunt of the Sun, National Theatre) as Fiyero, and Andy Mace (Martin Guerre) as Doctor Dillamond.

They will replace Helen Dallimore, Adam Garcia and Martin Ball, respectively; all leave on July 14th.  Cassidy Janson will be the new Elphaba Standby and Sarah Earnshaw will be the Glinda Standby. Tompsett, Mace, Janson, and Earnshaw are all members of the original London cast.  The show also stars Kerry Ellis (Elphaba), Susie Blake (Madame Morrible), Nigel Planer (The Wizard), James Gillan (Boq) and Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose).

Based on Gregory Maguire's best-selling, Wizard of Oz-inspired novel, Wicked has been seen by over 650,000 theatregoers since its first public performance at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre on September 7, 2006. The show has grossed over £23 million at the Box Office and twice set new West End Box Office records for the highest ever weekly gross. Wicked has grossed over $500,000,000 (half a billion dollars) worldwide.  Wicked features a score by Stephen Schwartz and book by Winnie Holzman.
