Maria Friedman, accompanied by an 11-piece band, will play just  twenty-five performances of her most recent solo show Maria Friedman: Re-arranged at the Trafalgar Studios from 27 November 2008 - 4 January 2009.  Earlier this year Maria Friedman:  Re-arranged enjoyed a sell-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory where the show was acclaimed by audiences and critics alike

Maria Friedman's band comprises some of the UK's best soloists, playing among them over 50 instruments, and will feature a mix of the original Menier Chocolate Factory programme with some exciting new additions. The running time of this show will be 90 minutes with no interval.

Some of the most renowned orchestrators and arrangers in the world have re-arranged versions of Maria's firm favourites and contemporary songs, including the work of Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, Jerry Herman, Michel Legrand, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Randy Newman, Stephen Sondheim, Charles Strouse and Suzanne Vega.

Maria Friedman's first solo show in London at the Donmar Warehouse, By Special Arrangement, seen 13 years ago, won her an Olivier Award.  She subsequently won two further Oliviers for Ragtime and Sondheim's Passion and has been nominated for several others.  Her many musical theatre credits include Chicago, Sunday in the Park with George, Lady in the Dark, The Woman in White and Sweeney Todd in which she played Mrs Lovett opposite Bryn Terfel for the re-opening of the Royal Festival Hall.  She has also played three acclaimed concert seasons at the legendary Café Carlyle in New York and regularly performs her one-woman shows worldwide and has a busy concert career.  As well as numerous cast recordings, Friedman's solo albums include Maria Friedman, Maria Friedman Live and Now and Then.
