THE DAZZLE, Starring Andrew Scott, Begins Tonight at FOUND111

Michael Grandage Company and Emily Dobbs Productions co-present the UK première of Richard Greenberg's THE DAZZLE at FOUND111, at the site of the old Central St Martins School of Art on Charing Cross Road.

Joining Andrew Scott (Langley) and David Dawson (Homer) in Simon Evans' production, is Joanna Vanderham as Milly. The production opens on 15 December, with previews from tonight 10 December, and runs for a strictly limited season until 30 January 2016, with £10 day tickets available for all performances.

"My brother makes an epic of a molecule - what would he do with the world?" New York City. The beginning of the 20th Century. Two brothers sit in their home surrounded by 136 tons of hoarded junk. When a beautiful guest arrives, everybody's lives are thrown into sharp focus.

The UK première of Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg's thrilling and fascinating play is brought to life in the anarchic space of the former Central St Martins in Charing Cross Road and stars Andrew Scott and David Dawson.

Richard Greenberg is the author of Our Mother's Brief Affair, The Assembled Parties (Tony, Drama Desk nominations), Take Me Out (Tony Award for Best Play; Drama Desk Award; NY Drama Critics Circle Award; Outer Critics Circle Award; Lucille Lortel Award), The House in Town, The Violet Hour, THE DAZZLE (Outer Critics Circle Award), Everett Beekin, Three Days of Rain (L.A. Drama Critics Award; Pulitzer finalist),The American Plan, and many other plays.

BAFTA and Olivier-award winning actor, Andrew Scott plays Langley. His recent theatre includes Birdland (Royal Court) Aristocrats, Emperor and Galilean (National Theatre), Sea Wall (Paines Plough, Bush Theatre), as well as numerous plays in Dublin, London and New York. For television his work includes his role as Moriarty in the worldwide smash- hit drama Sherlock; The Town and The Hollow Crown. His recent films included Ken Loach's Jimmy's Hall, Matthew Warchus' Pride, (BIFA for Best Supporting Actor), Locke and The Stag. His forthcoming films include Frankenstein with James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe, and Alice: Through The Looking Glass with Johnny Depp. Scott will next be seen in Spectre, the latest instalment of the Bond franchise.

David Dawson plays Homer. His theatre credits include The Duchess of Malfi (Sam Wanamaker Playhouse), Luise Miller (Donmar Warehouse), Posh (Royal Court), Comedians (Lyric Hammersmith), Romeo and Juliet (RSC), The Entertainer, Richard II (Old Vic) andNicholas Nickleby (Chichester Festival Theatre, national tour and Gielgud Theatre - nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Newcomer). For television, he is best known for his role in Ripper Street, and for his recent performances in Banished and Peaky Blinders. His work other television work includes The Hollow Crown, Luther, The Road to Coronation Street, Gracie, The Thick of It and Secret Diary of a Call Girl; and for film, London Boulevard. He recently completed filming the 8 part epic new BBC drama The Last Kingdom playing King Alfred.

Joanna Vanderham plays Milly. Her theatre work includes Othello (RSC) and The Promise (Donmar Trafalgar). For television, her credits include The Go Between, Banished, The Paradise, Dancing on the Edge, Young James Herriot, Above Suspicion, The Runaway and the forthcoming One of Us; and for film, And Then I Was French, Blackwood and What Maisie Knew.

Simon Evans directs. He was Resident Assistant Director at the Donmar Warehouse (working with Michael Grandage, Jamie Lloyd, Rob Ashford and Bijan Sheibani), Staff Director at the National Theatre, Performance Director for Secret/Future Cinema, Creative Associate at the Bush Theatre and Artistic Director of Black and White Rainbow. He is Artistic Director of Myriad & Co. FOUND111 is a new venture at 111 Charing Cross Road which is the original site of the Central St Martins School of Art launched by Emily Dobbs Productions and Rachel Edwards for Tooting Arts Club, whose production of Barbarians is currently running at the venue until 7 November.

MICHAEL GRANDAGE COMPANY (Producer) This London based production company was set up by the Olivier and Tony Award-winning team of Michael Grandage and James Bierman in 2012 following their time together at the Donmar Warehouse. Between 2012 and 2014 it produced an award-winning season of Five Plays at the Noel Coward theatre in London including Judi Dench and Ben Whishaw inPeter and Alice a new play by Tony Award winner John Logan and Henry V with Jude Law. Its production of Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan with Daniel Radcliffe then transferred to Broadway earning 6 Tony Nominations. The company is currently represented in the West End with Anna Ziegler's Photograph 51 with Nicole Kidman, and early next year will open a new production of Eugene O'Neill'sHughie with Forest Whitaker on Broadway - both directed by Grandage.
