CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF's Scarlett Johansson to Grace ELLE UK's February 2013 Cover has revealed the magazine's February 2013 cover, featuring Scarlett Johansson, star of the Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

Tony Award-winner Johansson returns to Broadway to star as Maggie, with Ciarán Hinds as Big Daddy, Benjamin Walker as Brick and Tony and Emmy Award-winner Debra Monk as Big Mama in Williams' Pulitzer Prize-winning classic Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Directed by Tony and Emmy Award-winner Rob Ashford, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof began preview performances Tuesday, December 18 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). Opening night is Thursday, January 17.

In Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, "Big Daddy" Pollitt, the richest cotton planter in the Mississippi Delta, is about to celebrate his 65th birthday. He is distressed by the rocky relationship between his beloved son Brick, an aging football hero who has turned to drink, and his beautiful and feisty wife Maggie. As the hot summer evening unfolds, the veneer of Southern gentility slips away as unpleasant truths emerge and greed, lies and suppressed sexuality reach a boiling point.

Four-time Golden Globe nominee and BAFTA winner, Johansson won a Tony for her Broadway debut in the Arthur Miller play A View from a Bridge, opposite Liev Schreiber. Johansson was recently seen in the worldwide box office hit The Avengers. She has also recently wrapped production on the independent film Under The Skin for director Jonathan Glazer (Sexy Beast) playing the lead role and plays Janet Leigh in the upcoming film Hitchcock.

Johansson received a Best Actress Award at the Venice Film Festival for her starring role opposite Bill Murray in Lost in Translation, the critically-acclaimed second film by director Sofia Coppola. Johansson's other film credits include Robert Redford's The Horse Whisperer, Terry Zwigoff's Ghost World, which garnered her a Best Supporting Actress award from the Toronto Film Critics Circle, the Coen Brothers' The Man Who Wasn't There, Cameron Crowe's We Bought A Zoo, Iron Man 2, the Weitz brothers' In Good Company, A Love Song for Bobby Long, which garnered her a Golden Globe nomination, and Woody Allen's Match Point, which garnered her 4th consecutive Golden Globe nominee in three years.

Other film credits include He's Just Not That Into You, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, The Other Boleyn Girl, The Spirit, Girl with a Pearl Earring opposite Colin Firth, The Island opposite Ewan McGregor, Brian DePalma's The Black Dahlia, Christopher Nolan's The Prestige and The Nanny Diaries. Her additional credits include Rob Reiner's comedy North; the thriller Just Cause; and a breakthrough role at the age of 10 in the critically-praisEd Manny & Lo, which earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Female Lead. A New York native, Johansson made her professional acting debut at the age of eight in the off-Broadway production of Sophistry, with Ethan Hawke, at New York's Playwright's Horizons.
