Brian Cox, Judi Dench and Elaine Paige Speak at the Oak Room as Part of Mountview's 70th Birthday Celebrations This Spring

The staff and trustees of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts are thrilled to announce that three of the UK's most prestigious and well-loved actors -- Elaine Paige OBE, Brian Cox CBE, and Dame Judi Dench -- will participate in exclusive 'In Conversation' events at the Oak Room in The Hospital Club, London's hub for the creative community, as part of Mountview's 70th birthday celebrations in 2015.

TONIGHT 30th April @ 7pm - Elaine Paige OBE in conversation with theatre critic Mark Shenton

Thursday 28th May @ 7pm - Brian Cox CBE in conversation with director Matthew Smith

Thursday 11th June @7pm - Dame Judi Dench in conversation with Sir Richard Eyre

A limited number of tickets will be on sale to the public at £35 each. Proceeds will go to the Mountview bursary scheme, as well as the h.Club Foundation, an independent charity that supports and partners with organisations and programmes using the creative arts to engage and inspire communities across London.

Dame Judi Dench, President of Mountview, said: "Access to training is something very close to my heart and I am thrilled to be taking part in Mountview's 'In Conversation With...' series in support of their bursary scheme for talented young actors who otherwise couldn't afford to train."

Tickets for the Elaine Paige event are on sale now via Eventbrite. Tickets for Brian Cox and Judi Dench will be released on 31st March and details will be available on Mountview's website: www.mountview.org.uk.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

ELAINE PAIGE won a Laurence Olivier Award for her role as Eva Peron in Evita in 1978 and went on to create the role of Grizabella in Cats and Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard. She has released 22 solo albums and has hosted a weekly show on BBC Radio 2 since 2004. In 2014 she celebrated her 50th anniversary in show business with a gala performance at the Royal Albert Hall supported by a choir of Mountview students.

Oliver Award winning actor BRIAN COX's hugely successful career encompasses radio, TV, stage and screen. He gained recognition for his portrayals of King Lear, Titus Andronicus and Petruchio for the Royal Shakespeare Company and has appeared in many Hollywood movies including The Bourne Supremacy, X2 and Troy.

DAME JUDI DENCH is one of the country's best-known and well-loved actors. She made her professional debut in 1957 with the Old Vic Company and her career has encompassed award-winning work for the RSC and National Theatre as well as a glittering screen career. Her film roles include Queen Victoria in Mrs Brown, M in the Bond series and Elizabeth I in Shakespeare in Love for which she won an Oscar.

Celebrating its 70th Anniversary in 2015, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts has an international reputation for training actors, directors, writers, producers and theatre technicians. Alumni include actors Ken Stott, Brendan Coyle, Lindsey Coulson, Douglas Henshall and Eddie Marsan, writers Alecky Blythe and Ayub Khan Din and directors Maria Aberg, Michael Longhurst and Edward Hall. Based in north London, Mountview has 400 students studying on foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses and also runs a thriving series of Saturday and summer schools for young people, amateur actors and directors. Courses are validated by the University of East Anglia (UEA) and are accredited by Drama UK.

THE HOSPITAL CLUB is a unique hub in the heart of London offering the creative community the environment and facilities to create, connect and collaborate. As part of London's creative community its role is to discover and feed the best creative talent, and produce, publish and celebrate their work. It is a real-world Club but also an on-online community for the Creative Industries and is set up to inspire, entertain, support and nurture creative talent.
