Boyle Casts Both Cumberbatch and Miller as Frankenstien

Accorning to an article by Baz Bamigboye for UK Daily Mail, director Danny Boyle has as cast not one, but two stars to lead his upcoming production of Nick Dear's FRANKENSTEIN play. Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller will alternate between the title character and his creator. Performances begin in February at the National Theatre.

Boyle said of the roles, 'They'll share it. One night one will be Frankenstein, while the other will play his creator Victor.' Boyle also revealed that the tale will be told from the monster's point of view.

Miller appeared on Broadway in AFTER MISS JULIE; his other stage credits include BEAUTIFUL THING, FESTEN, and SOMEONE WHO'LL WATCH OVER ME.  On screen, Miller's works include 'The Flying Scotsman (for which he was nominated for the Scottish BAFTA), 'Afterglow,' 'Hackers,' 'Trainspotting,' 'Mansfield Park,' and 'Emma.'

Cumberbatch recently starred in Terence Rattigan's After The Dance and in Sherlock Holmes for BBC TV. He is also set to star in  Steven Spielberg's War Horse film.
