The previously reported reality show "Over the Rainbow" plans to find the perfect Dorothy (and Toto) for Andrew Lloyd Webber's upcoming revival of The Wizard of Oz in the West End.

The BBC has reported details of the "Over the Rainbow" audition process: auditions are open to everyone 16 and over - experience notwithstanding.  According to the BBC, "What we're looking for is the potential to make the part of Dorothy your own."  Applications may be submitted online at www.bbc.co.uk/dorothy/, and auditions will officially begin in January in the following locations: Belfast, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester, and London.

The broadcast of "Over the Rainbow" is expected to air beginning in late March of 2010 on BBC One.

The BBC reality show follow the past hits How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? and I'd Do Anything in finding cast members for West End musicals, with Lee Mead, Connie Fisher and Jodie Prenger all gaining fame through the programs.
