Annies Siddons Tours HOW (NOT) TO LIVE IN SUBURBIA Across UK

Writer and performer, Annie Siddons, will tour her hit-show How (Not) to Live in Suburbia across the UK from 22 February and throughout Spring 2018. The production will star Annie and Sarah Moore from performance collective Figs in Wigs. The tour will start on 22 February at The ShowRoom, Chichester, before moving to Bath, Norwich and Bristol.

A few years ago, in the middle of a shitstorm of life events, single mother, artist and proud Londoner, Annie Siddons, found herself living in suburbia by accident. This hilarious, brutal and poignant show - combining live performance with films made by Annie, is about what happened next. How (Not) to Live in Suburbia is Annie's first foray into autobiographical work. The show played at Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre last year, both were sell-out runs, receiving rave reviews. As part of making the show Annie trained as a Samaritan. The company set up the first Cross Disciplinary Loneliness Symposium at the University of Central Lancashire 2016 where artists and research psychologists met to compare findings on the phenomenon of loneliness.

Annie Siddons is a Londoner, writer, performer, single parent and musician. As playwright/ dramaturg, she has worked with Kneehigh, Bristol Old Vic, Battersea Arts Centre, Teater Sa-gohuset, the Gate, National Theatre Studio, Shakespeare's Globe, The Unicorn, Glasgow Citizens' Theatre, Fillament Theatre, Undercurrent Theatre. Her hugely successful family show Rapunzel, was produced by Kneehigh and toured the UK from 2006 to 2008, before transferring to the New Victory Theatre New York. It has since been remounted nine times, including at the Citizens' Theatre Glasgow, 2015. She most recently worked at Shakespeare's Globe as Dramaturg/Lyricist for Caroline Byrne's acclaimed production of All's Well that Ends Well. As writer/performer, Annie created Raymondo in 2014, which ran at Summerhall as part of Escalator East to Edinburgh, then returned in 2015 for the British Council Showcase, touring across the UK 2015-16.

Sarah Moore is a choreographer, director and performer. She has co-created several critically acclaimed sell-out shows with performance collective Figs in Wigs since 2012, and has been with the Theo Adams Company since 2015.
