The Fruits of Our Labor is a world-premiere production by Step Afrika!, directed by Jakari Sherman, with Conrad R. Kelly II and Vusi Mdoyi. Created in commemoration of America's 250th anniversary, the piece blends stepping, percussion, poetry, and striking visual imagery to explore rhythm, resilience, and the unfinished story of the American experience. The production examines what it means to believe in a nation still in the making, asking what has been inherited and what is still being fought for.
