The Alexandria Harmonizers 80 man chorus brings its award-winning, high energy a cappella musical style to the stage in their fall show, "The Circle of Life." It features music from Broadway shows ranging from classics such as "The King and I" and "Anything Goes" to more recent hits such as "Wicked" and "Spamalot." The Harmonizers recently performed this repertoire on their UK tour, including to a capacity crowd at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Now it is here on this side of the pond for one show only - don't miss it!
In addition to the Harmonizers, the show will feature two outstanding guest quartets: gold-medal champion men's quartet "Instant Classic", and "GQ", one of the top female quartets in the country.
If you enjoy Broadway show tunes and great a cappella singing, you will love this show!
In addition to the stellar Alexandria Harmonizers singing Broadway songs, The Circle of Life will feature two outstanding quartets.
Instant Classic, from Indiana, are the Barbershop Harmony Society's 2015 international quartet champions. They have performed all over the United States and Europe -- singing a variety of music from several decades and styles including vocal jazz, musical theater, pop and R & B. GQ have been a phenom since their formation in 2011 at Towson University in Baltimore. In 2013 they placed 2nd in the National Harmony Sweepstakes and won the Sing Strong championship. In 2017 they were 5th place medalists at the Sweet Adelines International. They have been featured around the country including twice on radio's popular "A Prairie Home Companion."
