Mamma Mia's Britt Shubow Makes Singing Debut With Clear Space Productions

It has been almost four years since Britt Shubow was a senior at NYU and a month before graduation was asked to audition for the hit Broadway musical, "Mamma Mia!". Shubow was elated when she was chosen to be a "swing" in her Broadway debut and performed on the 2002 Tony Awards' telecast.  She later became a full-time member of the ensemble, an understudy for the role of "Lisa" and is currently an understudy for the leading role of "Sophie". She has performed on the CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade, CBS Morning Show, Broadway on Broadway, the UNICEF Snowflake television special, and at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

 

On Monday night, May 15 @ , Shubow will be performing in a program entitled, "Voices of Broadway" at Cape

HenlopenHigh School's "Little Theatre" in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The program is part of a multi-faceted line-up of shows

presented by Clear Space Productions which includes the musicals "Tintypes" (March 23-25), "Hello Dolly" (July 18-20), and

"Scrooge" (Dec. 5-10.) CSP also presents musical theater training, acting, voice and dance programs, and a myriad of other

theatrical events throughout the year.

 

 Shubow will be accompanied by other members of the Broadway cast of "Mamma Mia!" in an evening of Broadway show

tunes. Music director is Doug Yetter, CSP Co-Artistic Director.

 

Clear Space Productions' other Co-Artistic Director, Ken Skrzesz, worked with Shubow  when she was a student at Towson,

Maryland's prestigious performing arts high school, CarverCenter for Arts and Technology.
