Laura Osnes and Santino Fontana to Perform On Night Only at the Kennedy Center

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces a one-night-only evening with Broadway stars Laura Osnes and Santino Fontana onFriday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the intimate Kennedy Center Jazz Club.

This iconic onstage duo, who were both nominated for 2013 Tony Awards for their leading roles in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, will reunite at the Kennedy Center for an evening of song pairings, breathing life into beloved Broadway standards matched with their contemporary counterparts. From Rodgers & Hammerstein and Sondheim, to Pasek & Paul and Jason Robert Brown, this exciting young pair oozes charm and undeniable chemistry while dazzling audiences with their versatile talents. They are delighted to be joined by their Cinderella music director, Andy Einhorn, on piano.

Laura Osnes most recently completed a starring run in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Bandstand (Drama Desk, Drama League nominations). Other Broadway credits include Cinderella in Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella (Drama Desk Award; Tony, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League, Astaire nominations), Bonnie Parker in Bonnie and Clyde (Tony Award nomination), after creating the role at Asolo Repertory Theatre and La Jolla Playhouse (San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Award), Hope Harcourt in the Tony Award-winning revival of Anything Goes (Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Astaire Award nominations), Nellie Forbush in Lincoln Center Theater's production of South Pacific, and Sandy in the most recent revival of Grease. Other New York/regional appearances include Crazy For You (Manhattan Concert Productions); The Blueprint Specials (Public Theater); The Threepenny Opera (Drama Desk Award nomination) at the Atlantic Theater Company; City Center Encores! productions of The Band Wagon, Randy Newman's Faust, and Pipe Dream; The Sound of Music in concert at Carnegie Hall; Carousel opposite Steven Pasquale at the Lyric Opera of Chicago; and Broadway: Three Generations at the Kennedy Center.

On television, Osnes has been seen on the CBS series Elementary, the HBO pilot The Miraculous Year, Live From Lincoln Center: Bernstein On Broadway, Sondheim: The Birthday Concert, the HBO documentary Six By Sondheim, and the Kennedy Center Honors salutes to Barbara Cook (2011) and Dustin Hoffman (2012). In addition to touring the country with her popular concert series the Broadway Princess Party, her many concerts and cabarets include performing with Michael Feinstein, the New York Philharmonic, New York Pops, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Boston Pops, the San Francisco Symphony, the National Symphony Orchestra, as well as appearing in such venues as Carnegie Hall, Café Carlyle, 54 Below, Lincoln Center, NJPAC, the Smith Center in Las Vegas, and Minnesota Orchestra Hall. She can be heard on several original cast recordings and her two solo albums-Dream A Little Dream: Live at The Café Carlyle and If I Tell You: The Songs of Maury Yeston.

With his rich voice, dynamic versatility, and charisma, Santino Fontana is one of Broadway's favorite leading men. A Tony Award-nominated actor, Fontana began his career at 18 when he won the renowned Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. As an interpreter of the American Songbook, he has sung with orchestras, big bands, and smaller ensembles including the New York Philharmonic, New York Pops, Collegiate Chorale, Westchester Philharmonic, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Sesame Street Muppets, Phoenix Symphony, and at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Birdland, NJPAC, and the Bravo Festival at Vail.

Film and television fans will recognize him as the voice of the villainous Prince Hans in Disney's Frozen, as well as the singing barman Greg in the CW series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Broadway credits include Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, The Importance of Being Earnest, Brighton Beach Memoirs (Drama Desk Award), Billy Elliot, and Sunday in the Park with George. Recently he played Cornelius Hackl in the acclaimed run of Hello, Dolly! and will next be seen as Michael Dorsey inTootsie.
