Craig Wallace Joins Ford's Theatre's NECESSARY SACRIFICES; Performances Resume 1/26
The Ford's Theatre Society announced that Craig Wallace will take on the role of Frederick Douglass in the world premiere of Necessary Sacrifices by Richard Hellesen.
Public performances will resume as scheduled on January 26, 2012. The world-premiere production also has been extended through February 18, 2012. Wallace replaces David Emerson Toney, who withdrew from the production because of a private health matter.
In order to allow sufficient rehearsal time for Wallace, Ford's Theatre has canceled four preview performances between January 20 and January 24. Wallace previously appeared at Ford's Theatre in Sabrina Fair and Jitney. He joins a cast that includes David Selby (as Abraham Lincoln) and Michael Kramer (as George Stearns).
Tickets to the added performances between February 14 and 18 will be available for sale beginning Jan. 21. Tickets for Necessary Sacrifices range $15-$52 and may be purchased at www.fords.org or through Ticketmaster (800) 982-2787. Service charges may apply. Patrons with tickets to the canceled performances have the opportunity to exchange their tickets for another performance of Necessary Sacrifices through February 18, 2012. Patrons who are unable to exchange may donate the value of their tickets to Ford's Theatre Society or request a refund.
