Looking for a fun way to introduce your kids to theatre and art?  DC is the place to be this weekend!  The event is Edward Hopper Family Weekend and the premiere of play Who's in the Hopper? An Art Mystery Adventure by Mary Hall Surface 

WHAT:

According to the press release: 1000+ children and parents will:     

  • Enjoy the premiere of the children's play Who's in the Hopper? An Art Mystery Adventure by Mary Hall Surface
  • Explore the Edward Hopper exhibition with activity sheets
  • Create works of art inspired by Hopper's landscapes 
  • Listen to the U.S. Navy Band perform music from 1930s to 1950s
  • Learn more about Hopper's work by viewing the documentary Edward Hopper

Edward Hopper features classic works that capture the realities of urban and rural America with poignancy and beauty in the most comprehensive Hopper survey ever presented in Washington, DC. The exhibition is on view in the East Building through January 21, 2008.

Saturday, November 3, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, November 4, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
