The Smith family hatch a plan to murder their estranged matriarch for her insurance money. They hire Joe Cooper, a police detective and part-time contract killer, to do the job. But once he enters their trailer home and comes face to face with their innocent daughter, the plan spirals out of control... A tense, gut-twisting thriller, Killer Joe, asks where the moral line is drawn in the fight for survival.

The cast comprises Orlando Bloom in the title role of Killer Joe, Sophie Cookson as Dottie, Adam Gillen as Chris, Neve McIntosh as Sharla andSteffan Rhodri as Ansel. Designs are by Grace Smart, with lighting by Richard Howell, compositions and sound design by Edward Lewis. Killer Joe is produced by Emily Dobbs Productions and Empire Street Productions.

Actor and producer Orlando Bloom, a graduate of London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama, made his West End stage debut in a revival of David Storey's 1969 drama In Celebration and his Broadway debut as Romeo in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Bloom is well known for his roles as 'Will Turner' in the Pirates of the Caribbean films, and 'Legolas' in Peter Jackson's Academy Award winning trilogy The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. His other film credits include Black Hawk Down, Kingdom of Heaven, Elizabethtown and Troy. On screen, he will next star in Amazon's newest original seriesCarnival Row, an eight-episode fantasy noir set in a neo-Victorian city. The series, also produced by Bloom, will premiere in 2019. For over a decade, Bloom has been a Global Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF and travels around the world to fight for the rights of children and was honored with the BAFTA Britannia Humanitarian Award in 2015.

Sophie Cookson makes her West End debut in Killer Joe. She was most recently seen on television in the Netflix Original series Gypsy. Her further television credits include Moonfleet and Unknown Heart. On film, her credits include Kingsman: The Secret Service, The Huntsman: Winter's War and The Crucifixion.

Adam Gillen was most recently seen on stage in the title role of Amadeus at the National Theatre, in both its original and returning 2018 run. His other theatre credits include The Five Wives of Maurice Pinder, also at the National Theatre, Wendy and Peter for the Royal Shakespeare Company and A Taste of Honey at the Royal Exchange.

McIntosh was last seen on stage in Meet Me at Dawn in the 2017 Edinburgh International Festival. Her further theatre credits include King Learat the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Proof at Perth Theatre and The Merchant of Venice at the Royal Lyceum Theatre. She has recently appeared on television in BBC's Shetland with other television credits including Doctor Who, The Replacement, Death in Paradise, Critical, Ripper Street and Bodies.

Steffan Rhodri's theatre credits include Woyzeck and The Hairy Ape at The Old Vic, This House at the Garrick Theatre, Posh at the Duke of York Theatre and Absent Friends at The Harold Pinter Theatre. His film credits include Submarine, Wonder Woman and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One.

As an actor, he has appeared on Broadway in Will Eno'sThe Realistic Joneses and Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (2013 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role).
