Town Hall Theater to Present LEONARDO LIVE This February

In late February, art lovers will be able to experience LEONARDO LIVE, a satellite-delivered HD presentation of the once-in-a-lifetime exhibition "Leonardo da Vinci: Painter at the Court of Milan", captured at the U.K. National Gallery.

Captured live on the eve of the exhibition opening, LEONARDO LIVE will provide a high-definition walk-through of the landmark exhibition and in-depth commentary about featured pieces in the exhibit.

"Leonardo da Vinci: Painter at the Court of Milan" brings together the largest ever number of Leonardo's rare surviving paintings and some international loans that have never before travelled. The exhibition also brings together the largest ever number of da Vinci's paintings, including a newly discovered, never-before-publicly exhibited painting, the Salvator Mundi.

In London, the critics are raving about the exhibit. The Guardian says "the show is dazzling, mysterious and disturbing. That there are any paintings to show at all is something of a miracle," and the Telegraph adds "a breathtaking and truly remarkable exhibition…the greatest exhibition of the century." Crowds in the U.K. have been lining up daily at dawn to snatch the few remaining tickets to the gallery presentation. Tickets are re-selling at $700 apiece. The New York Times says the exhibit is "a wildly popular museum show, captivating the public to a degree no one anticipated."

"I've known people who got in to see the actual exhibit," says THT executive director Douglas Anderson, "and they were disappointed because the galleries were so crowded that they couldn't really see the paintings. This broadcast will make us feel that we're all alone with some of the greatest paintings every created."

LEONARDO LIVE will be broadcast at Middlebury's Town Hall Theater on Sunday, February 26 at 7 pm, and again on Tuesday, February 28, at 11 am. Tickets are $10, and may be purchased at 802 382-9222,, at the THT box office, or at the door, if available.
