Do you have a high school or middle school student who is passionate about theatre and the performing arts? The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company offers two great ways for interested students to be a part of The Playhouse community.

TheatreLab provides 15 students with free admission to the summer shows, and an inside look at how professional productions evolve. Backstage tours, tech rehearsals, actor/director talkbacks, workshops, and more are all part of the TheatreLab experience. Students apply with a brief essay and application, available on the Weston Playhouse website. Not only will participants enjoy performances and special events, they will also meet new friends, and discover new areas of theatre production. Enrollment deadline: May 15th.

Broadway Theatre Camp is back for its third year! An exciting three-week summer program for students entering 9th grade through exiting 12th, BTC is produced in collaboration with the Creative Arts Department at Burr and Burton Academy, and held at their impressive theatre and dance facilities in Manchester, VT. Beginning July 31, while The Music Man runs on the Weston MainStage, students will work on songs and scenes from Broadway shows, as well as material from The Music Man. The professional staff made up of Broadway actors, dancers, and music directors, includes choreographer Felicity Stiverson (Broadway's Hot Feet) and music director Larry Pressgrove (Broadway's Title of Show.) The three weeks of training culminates in a student performance on the Weston MainStage on August 18th, followed by tickets to the professional production of The Music Man that night. This is a unique opportunity for students to train with Broadway professionals, and gain skills that will help them in all aspects of performance and life. BTC: From rehearsal to stage... in just three weeks! Enrollment ends June 15th.
