World Dance Company With Fabulist Theatre Present PETER PAN JR

World Dance Company and Fabulist Theatre teams up to present Peter Pan Jr, a presentation after a two-week summer camp.

Peter Pan Jr is an adaptation of the Broadway musical Peter Pan which is based on J. M. Barrie's 1904 play Peter Pan and Barrie's own novelization of it, Peter and Wendy. The music is mostly by Mark "Moose" Charlap, with additional music by Jule Styne, and most of the lyrics were written by Carolyn Leigh, with additional lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green.

World Dance Co, located in Burnaby B.C, is the home to Grupo America, an award-winning international world champion dance group. It offers classes in all dance styles in all disciplines for kids and teens as well as adult social dancing. They are also known for their fantastic themed Friday parties which turns the studio into a social dance hall which features live performances, drinks, and tons of fun without having to do downtown.

World Dance Theatre Kids was established in 2015 producing such shows as a mini version of The Wiz, Disney's The Lion King Jr and Aladdin Jr and now this year Peter Pan Jr.
The camps, since 2015, are two weeks long and is Burnaby's only theatre production summer camp. Participants learn dance tech, group and solo vocal classes, drama, and the musical rehearsal from professionally trained instructors, active in the performing arts community. The camps are geared for children and teens age 7-17.

This year, they partnered with not for profit, independent theatre company Fabulist Theatre, who recently produced the musicals Once On This Island (Vancouver premiere) and Songs For A New World, and will be producing an upcoming all-female empowerment musical cabaret Aug 17th-19th in Vancouver.

World Dance Theatre Kids would also like to thank the sponsorship of The Stage New Westminster and Affordable Child Photography.

In keeping with the idea of accessible access to the arts for all despite fanatical situations, World Dance and Fabulist Theatre has covered over $1200.00 in Scholarships for families all over the lower mainland.

Peter Pan Jr will play for two performances only at 3pm and 6pm at Byrne Creek Community School in Burnaby at 7777 18th St, Burnaby, BC V3N 5E5. The show is an hour long.

Tickets are 10.00 (minimum donation) and further donations to the scholarship fund will be collected.

The show is stage, vocal and dance directed by Damon Bradley Jang
