All the way from chilly Canada comes a hot romantic comedy about the joys of "selfdiscovery", voyeurism, and the 8track tape. SPRING ALIBI set in the North, a place where spring fever erupts with an undeniable force. It's a place of rugged, masculine beauty, where the warmth of the sun finally melts frozen loins and suddenly everyone's pulled into the ritualistic mating dance! Spring Alibi?will be celebrating its tenth year by exploring Down Under!

A smash hit at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington DC, the Yukon Comedy Arts Festival and TheatreONE Festival in Saskatoon, Spring Alibi ?has charmed audiences and critics alike, playing to soldout crowds. The Edmonton Sun called Spring Alibi?"...a small, wellobserved comic gem about two souls adrift in the Yukon...riotously entertaining but with a beating heart at the centre".

SEE Magazine said: "Buy tickets for this totally sweet, totally honest romanticcomedywithatwist before word gets out".

Playwright Linda Wood Edwards wrote Spring Alibi?in 1997 while on sabbatical in the Yukon. It won a prize in Nakai Theatre's 24 Hour Playwriting Contest, which was a bonus: she entered because they promised a hotel room with a hot bath for only $35. Since then, the play has been nominated for and won many awards. Spring Alibi ?stars Sue Huff as Marlene, a woman who runs away to the Yukon following a bad breakup and Andy Northrup as Mac, a perpetually outofwork guy who has finally landed some steady work on a construction crew up north.

As Marlene is overcome by the raw sexuality of the place, Mac happens to see her through a window "discovering herself". Although he can never see her face, Mac becomes comically obsessed with the bottom half of the girl in Room 308. Unaware of her true identity, the two end up dating and, of course, all hell breaks loose when secrets are revealed. Sue Huff is a veteran performer of stage and screen as well as an accomplished writer, filmmaker and most recently author of a book. (She is also the first cousin of Daniel Craig). Andy is known internationally by audiences as a composer and singersongwriter. He has performed in 25 plays and 11 films.

Director Kevin Tokarsky is an awardwinning drama instructor, actor and earlier in his life, he wrote cartoons. (He is also married to Sue.) Linda has written several other plays and works during the day as a bylaw writer and funeral celebrant. All are thrilled to be part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival!
