On Wednesday 20 April GSC will be presenting TROILUS & CRESSIDA; a passionate story of love and betrayal set during the Trojan War, featuring some of the most famous characters from ancient history Achilles, Helen of Troy, Ajax and Ulysses. GSC are excited to announce that Shakespeare's 1603 play will be performed with an entirely female cast, directed by NATASHA RICKMAN: "I am so excited to be staging this reading of to celebrate Shakespeare's birthday with GSC. All the female characters are ignored, shamed, sexualised or used as trophies at some point. By having a cast of women telling this story and enacting moments such as when Cressida is kissed by all the Greek soldiers, it feels like we can change the lens we look at these moments of violence through. We have an amazing cast and can't wait to share this story with you"
