Tonight we feature stellar stand ups - Slim, Kate Barron, Lee Peart & Mags McHugh.

Slim is one of the UK’s biggest stand up stars and the undisputed king of the Black British Comedy Circuit. Slim has an extensive list of TV credits including Live at the Apollo (BBC Two) Live at the Hackney Empire (BBC One), Sorry I Didn’t Know (ITV1), Mel Giedroyc: Unforgiveable (Dave), Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains (Comedy Central) and The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One). Physical, ebullient and unashamedly for the people, his multi award-winning 20 year career has seen him perform to thousands all over the world. He’s sold out several smash hit tours, including the Hackney Empire numerous times over. Slim has also supported several high profile US acts including Kevin Hart and Dave Chappelle. His popular brand of humour is generous, smart and bursting with infectious energy. He’s toured the world extensively including the whole of Europe, Barbados, Jamaica, Qatar, the Falklands Islands, Dubai and even performed at the N.A.T.O Headquarters in Belgium. Slim is also the first Black British comedian to sell out the London Palladium with his own show.

Kate Barron is a multi award winning stand-up comedian, podcaster, and writer. Originally from Vancouver but now based in the UK, she began her comedic journey while living in Toronto working as a high end international art dealer. Now recognised as one of the fastest rising talents by extensive Canadian media outlets including the Toronto Star and CBC, Kate's comedic prowess has taken her to renowned events Montreal’s Just For Laughs, SirusXM Top Comic Canada and HBO's Women in Comedy Festival in Boston. Notably, she made history by becoming the first woman to clinch victory at Toronto’s notorious Comedy Brawl, triumphing over 400 fellow comedians. In 2022 her solo show Losing Myself at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival receiving official recognition from the British Comedy Guide and secured the Best Debut Show accolade from Entertainment Now. The show's success continued with a sold-out run at Soho Theatre in London and was filmed for a Next Up Comedy Special which aired in 2023. A firm fixture at the UK's premier comedy clubs including Top Secret Comedy Club, The Comedy Store, Komedia and Frog & Bucket, she has also opened for notable figures such as Saturday Night Live's Sam Jay and Chris Redd, Comedy Cellar Regular Nathan Mackintosh, The Late Late Show with James Cordon writer Eliza Skinner.

Lee Peart is a comedian, presenter, broadcaster and actor known for his sharp wit, infectious energy, and warm, camp charm. A regular on the UK comedy circuit, Lee performs at top clubs including The Comedy Store, Komedia, The Glee and The Stand. He has supported major names such as Jason Manford, Judi Love and Ellie Taylor on their UK tours. He is the co-host of the hit podcast Bottoms Up! with Alan Carr & Lee Peart - a weekly show demystifying the world of wine. As a stand up Lee has a monthly residency at Brighton Komedia hosting Down The Hatch and In London he hosts a regular comedy club at Crazy Coqs. in As a writer, Lee has written for 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (C4), Rosie Jones: Out of Order (Comedy Central), Late Night Lycett (C4), 90 Day Fiancé UK (Discovery) and Amazon's Last One Laughing UK, bringing his unique voice to prime-time TV. He has warmed-up and kept live audiences buzzing for some of the UK’s biggest TV shows, including Strictly Come Dancing, Britain’s Got Talent, The Jonathan Ross Show and Big Brother, and for 8 years was the resident warm-up act for ITV's Loose Women.

Mags McHugh is a powerhouse of comedy, championed by Ricky Gervais. This bold and brilliant Irish comic is a must-see, she came runner up in the ‘Spirit of Comedy’ competition with Ricky’s vodka brand 'Dutch Barn' and has been filming a mini series on social media with them this year. She was also a Funny Woman Dublin finalist in 2017, and has appeared on Jon Holmes “Naked Lunch” on BBC Radio.
