The Young Vic Presents VERNON GOD LITTLE, Jan 27-Mar 5
The Young Vic will present Vernon God Little January 27 through March 5. Rufus Norris' Olivier Award-nominated production of DBC Pierre's Booker Prize-winning novel returns in an updated adaptation by Tanya Ronder.
Multi-award-winning director Rufus Norris (Cabaret, Festen) is back at the Young Vic where he first came to fame with his Evening Standard Award-winning Afore Night Come followed by Sleeping Beauty and Tintin.
Vernon's best friend has just mown down his school class with an old rifle and then shot himself. Everyone is looking for someone to blame. They're all pointing at Vernon. The adventure is played out against a foot-stomping soundtrack of American hits by Johnny Cash and Hank Williams amongst others.
