Sasi Strallen will follow in the foot-steps of her theatrical relatives this Christmas, playing the title role in The Wyvern Theatre's hilarious pantomime Cinderella.

Her aunty Bonnie Langford, the much-lovEd English actress, dancer and entertainer, appeared as Cinderella in 1984 at The New Wimbledon Theatre. Both parents, Cherida and Sandy, performed in the original London production of Cats. Older sisters Scarlett, Summer and Zizi are recognised musical theatre stars on both West End and Broadway stages having performed in The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Top Hat, Dirty Dancing and Rock of Ages between them. Now, it is Sasi's turn to step into the spotlight.

Leading the cast, alongside comedy legend Keith Chegwin, Sasi Strallen will bring a first-class musicality to The Wyvern's pantomime. Cinderella is the most magical story of them all and this year's production boasts stunning sets, sensational costumes and real-life ponies.

"The Strallen's are something of a phenomenon in musical theatre," says Theatre Director Derek Aldridge. "I am delighted to announce that Sasi, the youngest of the Strallen sisters, will play the principal role in our pantomime Cinderella."

With the cast now finalised for the Christmas production, audiences can look forward to being entertained by Keith Chegwin as Buttons, Adam King as Prince Charming, Alex Young as Fairy Godmother, Lewis Barnshaw as Dandini, Jenny-Ann Topham as Wicked Stepmother and David Ashley and Neal Wright as the Ugly Sisters. The Wyvern Theatre's traditional pantomime promises to be the perfect festive treat for all the family.

Cinderella runs from Saturday 10 December to Sunday 8 January. Time is running out and the clock is fast approaching midnight - book online at wyverntheatre.org.uk or call the Ticket Office on 01793 524 481.
