We're off to see the Wizard this month as the Epstein Theatre follows the yellow brick road towards Easter with a whirlwind of a panto.

LHK Productions presents The Wizard of Oz with a stellar cast taking on the much-loved roles, led by X Factor's Lola Saunders as Dorothy, Sean Smith as the Tin Man and Liverpool favourites Lindzi Germain and Lewis Pryor as the Cowardly Lion and Scarecrow respectively.

The Wizard of Oz, which runs from Thursday 11 April to Monday 22 April, also stars Greatest Hits Liverpool's Claire Simmo as Glinda and the irrepressible Michael Chapman as the Wicked Witch.

The wickedly good show is one of a host of egg-cellent offerings this April which boasts a packed programme of shows to appeal to theatregoers of all ages.

A busy month of music making starts on Thursday 4 April when The Billy Fury Years celebrates the sound of Liverpool's late great singer, one of the best-selling artists of the 1960s.

Hailed as "the best Fury since Fury", Michael King and his fantastic collection of musicians take you on a journey through the musical career of one of Britain's best loved rock 'n' roll legends.

The top tunes continue with The Beach Boys Tribute Show which comes to the Epstein on Thursday 25 April.

The brilliant Beach Boyz Tribute Band delivers a stunning show packed with vocal harmonies that will take your breath away, and with all those Beach Boys classics including I Get Around, California Girls and Good Vibrations.

Get ready to rock when Letz Zep return to Hanover Street on Friday 26 April, bringing Led Zeppelin's mighty sound to the Epstein stage. Follow the Stairway to Heaven and enjoy a Whole Lotta Love from this official number one tribute act.

It's ABBA Forever when the top tribute show to the Swedish superstars pays a visit on Saturday 27 April. The unique Abba sound is replicated with an incredible attention to detail, using a six-piece band and two fantastic female vocalists.

Meanwhile Dean Friedman has been hailed as one of the greatest songwriters of his generation. Find out why when he performs live at the Epstein on Sunday 28 April.

Along with the main show there is also the chance to become a 'VEP' (Very Enthusiastic Person) which includes sitting in on the soundcheck and a photo with Dean himself.

One of Britain's best-loved mediums, Liverpool's Derek Acorah, makes a hometown appearance when he brings his The Eternal Life Tour to the theatre on Friday 5 April.

A truly modern medium whose appeal crosses the generations to young and old alike, he remains the forerunner in the field of paranormal and spiritual matters.

And the entertainment continues on Wednesday 24 April when Klub Kidz presents Burlesque featuring Chad Michaels and Farrah Moan direct from RuPaul's Drag Race. Expect the unexpected and prepare to be amazed by this fully produced show with a full cast of performers and dancers.

Expect songs, laughs and scary fun for the whole family as the Olivier Award nominated stage show Room on the Broom brings the packed month to a spooktacular close on Tuesday 30 April - Thursday 2 May.
