A host of TV favourites are set to amaze audiences in the best-selling, powerful courtroom thriller, The Verdict, which heads to Theatre Royal Winchester from Tuesday 19 - Saturday 23 March.

Presented by Middle Ground Theatre Company, this critically acclaimed drama - now on its second tour after a phenomenally successful world premiere tour - features beloved TV actor, Ian Kelsey (Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Casualty), and fellow soap actress, Karen Drury (Brookside).

The show also stars veteran actor, Denis Lill (Only Fools & Horses), Paul Opacic (Hollyoaks), Christopher Ettridge (Goodnight Sweetheart) and Richard Walsh (London's Burning).

The Verdict tells the story of Frank Galvin, a washed up veteran lawyer and alcoholic, who is given one last chance to redeem himself when offered an open-and-shut medical malpractice case. Up against the medical establishment and all-powerful Catholic Church, no-one believes he will win. However, when he smells a cover-up he courageously refuses an out of court settlement and decides to take the case and the entire legal system to court. But what price for the truth?

A story made famous by the five-times Oscar nominated film of the same name, starring Paul Newman, Barry Reed's novel has been adapted for the stage by Margaret May Hobbs.

The Verdict will be at the Theatre Royal Winchester from Tuesday 19 - Saturday 23 March. To find out more, or to book tickets, visit www.theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call the Box Office on 01962 840 440.
