Actress Susannah York will appear in a triple bill of Tennessee Williams plays at the New End Theatre in north London, according to UK magazine The Stage.

THE LADY OF LARKSPUR LOTION will open September 23 and perform through October 10. York will appear as Mrs. Hardwick-Moore, who is described as "a southern belle in the mould of William's Blanche Dubois from Streetcar Named Desire."

New End Theatre's Tennessee Williams TRIPLE BILL will also include THIS PROPERTY IS CONDEMNED and TALK TO ME LIKE THE RAIN.

"We present three Tennessee Williams One Act plays which are full of the perception of life as it is and the passion for life as it might be. In This Property is Condemned we meet Willie, a young girl who has worked out her won survival strategy as her friend Tom looks helplessly on. In Talk to Me Like the Rain a couple try to cling to each other when there is little left in their relationship. In The Lady of Larkspur Lotion a faded Southern belle, despite being reduced to prostitution, tries gamely to maintain a façade of gentility while living in a fleabag hotel. These are three of Williams' most poignant and moving plays."

In addition Stage and film star York was nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar for her role in 1969's "They Shoot Horses Don't They?".

The production marks her return to the New End in Hampstead. In 1978, York appeared in one THE SINGULAR LIFE OF ALBERT NOBBS, under the direction Simone Benmussa.
