New Writing South presents Express Excess – WordJam Fridays, tonight May 11 2012 @ 7pm at The Writers' Place.  For more information, visit:  www.newwritingsouth.com.

Londoner Paul Lyalls' work is fast-moving, hip, accessible, rhythmic, clever and real.  His work for kids has seen him appear on CBBC but his WordJam set is aimed strictly for adults with his humorous, perceptive and uplifting view of life.  Paul has performed his comic verse for many years now appearing at a host of varied venues such as Wembley Stadium, Eton College and the Number 73 bus.

Also performing is Julian Fox who uses spoken word, song, dance and theatre to create a hilarious act. Julian uses the monotony found in everyday life to bring humour and familiarity to the audience, making quirky comedy out of everyday anxieties.

The evening starts at 7pm at The Writers Place, 9-10 Jew Street, Brighton, BN1 1UT. Tickets cost £8/£6 concession.
